Welcome to AMIE. By accessing or using our platform you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before using the service.
AMIE is operated by AMIE Social Sport Limited, a company registered in England and Wales.
References to “we”, “us” and “our” mean AMIE Social Sport Limited. References to “you” and “your” mean a user of the platform.
These terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and any additional ticket, organiser, activity or community terms that may apply to a particular feature.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an AMIE account.
AMIE is designed as a women-focused social sport and fitness community. Users must satisfy any eligibility requirements presented during registration. Accounts that do not meet applicable eligibility requirements or breach our community standards may be restricted or removed.
You are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and for activity that occurs through your account.
You agree to provide accurate information and to keep information reasonably up to date.
We may suspend, restrict or terminate accounts that breach these terms, community standards or applicable law.
AMIE provides tools for discovering workout besties, communities, activities, events and other social sport opportunities.
Some communities and activities are created or operated by independent organisers. Organisers determine what they offer, when and where activities take place, applicable capacity and, where relevant, pricing.
AMIE provides the platform and may facilitate bookings and payments using third-party payment providers.
We may modify, improve, suspend or discontinue features of the service where reasonably necessary.
AMIE is intended to be a supportive community.
You agree:
Breaches may result in content removal, warnings, restrictions, suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
If you believe a moderation decision should be reviewed, contact hello@joinamie.co.uk.
You retain ownership of content you create.
By posting content through AMIE, you grant AMIE Social Sport Limited a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display that content to the extent reasonably necessary to operate, provide and improve the service.
You must have the rights necessary to upload any content you provide.
We may remove content that breaches these terms, community standards or applicable law.
Where messaging functionality is available, users may communicate with other members subject to the permissions and controls built into the platform.
We do not routinely read private messages. We may access relevant message content where reasonably necessary to investigate a report, protect member safety, prevent abuse or comply with law.
Where an activity is ticketed, additional booking, refund or organiser terms displayed at the point of purchase may apply.
Organisers are responsible for delivering independently organised activities unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Refund eligibility may depend on the terms displayed for a particular booking.
Where an organiser cancels a paid activity, applicable refund arrangements will be communicated to affected ticket holders.
AMIE provides tools that help members connect but cannot guarantee the identity, conduct, reliability or suitability of another member, organiser, venue or activity.
You are responsible for exercising reasonable judgement when meeting people in person.
We recommend:
Nothing in these terms excludes legal rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
The AMIE name, branding, logos, platform design, software and other intellectual property owned by or licensed to AMIE Social Sport Limited remain the property of their respective owners.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer or commercially exploit protected parts of the service except where permitted by law or with our written permission.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Where applicable, our aggregate liability relating to paid services will not exceed the amount you paid directly to us in connection with the relevant service during the 12 months preceding the claim, except where law requires otherwise.
Nothing in these terms affects statutory rights you may have as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK legislation.
If these terms conflict with rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited, those statutory rights prevail.
You may stop using AMIE at any time and may use available account-deletion functionality where provided.
Deleting an account is separate from any outstanding booking, refund, transaction, legal, fraud-prevention or safety records that we are entitled or required to retain.
We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated breaches of these terms, safety rules or applicable law, with notice where reasonably practicable.
Provisions that by their nature are intended to survive termination will continue to apply.
We may update these terms from time to time.
Where a change materially affects users, we will provide reasonable notice where required or appropriate. Minor or administrative changes may take effect when published.
Continued use of the service after updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you may have to bring proceedings in another competent jurisdiction.
If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
